Daytime raid: 50 drones in 12 hours

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on its Telegram channelthat from 08:00 to 20:00 on November 8, air defense forces destroyed 50 fixed-wing drones of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to the ministry, the drones were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk and Rostov regions, as well as over Crimea — five regions in total. This was reported by Gazeta.Ru and Life.ru, citing the ministry's statement.

The scale of the night attack and casualties

These figures add to an earlier report from the same ministry: as Life.rureported, overnight Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 411 Ukrainian drones, and aerial targets were detected, among other places, over the same four regions and Crimea, as well as over the waters of the Black and Azov Seas. Thus, according to official Ministry of Defense reports alone, several hundred downed UAVs over the same regions are being reported within a single day. The same outlet previously reported that two residents of the Belgorod region were killed as a result of drone attacks; the details of this incident are not disclosed in the cited publications.
