Chairman's instruction of the Investigative Committee
Alexander Bastrykin has ordered a report on the investigation of a criminal case against the director of a sports school in the Kirov region. The reason was a video appeal from parents of students and coaches asking for the head to be removed from his post, reports Life.ru citing the Investigative Committee of Russia.
What is known about the case
The investigation is being conducted by the regional directorate of the Investigative Committee; it concerns an alleged crime against a minor. Details are not provided in the agency's statement. The report for the central apparatus of the Investigative Committee must be prepared by acting head of the regional investigative directorate Yury Rusanov: he has been instructed to report on the progress of the investigation and separately set out the arguments of the authors of the appeal. No decision on the request to remove the director has been reported yet.
A similar practice in October
This is not the only such request from the head of the Investigative Committee in recent weeks: in October, Bastrykin demanded a report on the investigation into the death of a 15-year-old teenager at a health camp in Sochi. The boy's parents, who believe their son did not receive timely medical care and who expressed disagreement with the course of the investigation, had contacted him.
