A night of alerts in 18 regions

On the night of November 7, warnings of missile danger and the threat of drone attacks were declared over seven hours — from midnight to 07:00 Moscow time — in 18 Russian regions, with the danger still in effect in eight regions by eight in the morning. This was reported by Life.ru.

Which type of threat was declared where

Missile danger was declared in the Tula, Tambov, Oryol, Lipetsk, Kursk, Kaluga, Voronezh, Bryansk, Rostov and Volgograd regions, as well as in Kalmykia. Warnings of drone attacks were issued in the Astrakhan, Volgograd, Lipetsk, Penza, Samara and Saratov regions, Krasnodar Krai, Crimea and Sevastopol. In the Lipetsk and Volgograd regions, both types of warnings were in effect.

Consequences in the regions

The most large-scale overnight attack was repelled in the Rostov region: air defense forces destroyed more than 50 drones, and falling debris damaged the glazing of a residential building; according to preliminary data, no one was hurt. In the Voronezh region, according to Governor Alexander Gusev, 27 drones were shot down. In the Belgorod region two people were wounded in drone attacks — one of them crashed into an apartment building in Belgorod, and after detonation the balconies of several apartments caught fire. Governor of the Saratov region Roman Busargin reported damage to civilian infrastructure and, according to preliminary information, casualties; emergency services are working on the ground.

Alerts continue for several days in a row

The overnight wave of warnings is part of a multi-day series. On November 5, the threat of missile strikes and drone attacks had already been declared in 26 regions of the country across five federal districts, and by eight in the morning it remained in effect in ten regions. The day before, on November 4, the military reported destroying 709 Ukrainian drones over 15 regions and the waters of the Black and Azov seas. Thus, the scale of the night of November 7 (18 regions) is smaller than the previous days, although the alerts have continued for the fourth day in a row.

What remains unclear

Data on the casualties in the Saratov region and the nature of the damage there are preliminary and not detailed; the publication does not provide details on the condition of the wounded in the Belgorod region. The outlet collects additional emergency news in its “Incidents” section.
