Consequences for residents

A video circulating online shows police officers next to a stationary car which, judging by the footage, had been struck by a shotgun blast on Clase Road near the Asda hypermarket. Residents have been advised to avoid the area; Chief Superintendent Stephen Jones said the police presence would remain visible while the investigation continues, and asked people not to come to the scene of the incident in order to 'return normality to the area.' Because of the incident, Morriston Town AFC football club cancelled the fireworks display planned for Friday, advising people on social media to stay at home.
