Forecast for Central Russia: little precipitation

Earlier, on October 30, climatologist and Candidate of Geographical Sciences Ekaterina Pestryakova reportedthat during the coming winter, the weather in Central Russia will be shaped by an anticyclone for a significant period of time, which is expected to lead to a shortage of precipitation. She explained that an anticyclone creates descending air currents that hinder precipitation, although winters in Moscow and the Moscow Region are usually quite snowy.
