Disappearance and search
In Krasnoyarsk, the search has ended for a man who went missing after visiting a bar. This was reported by Gazeta.Ru and Life.ru citing the Telegram channel Kras Mash. According to preliminary data, on the evening of his disappearance Ruslan was at an establishment on Mira Prospekt together with his sister. When they went outside, the woman lost sight of her brother, could not find him, and went home. The man never returned, and a search was launched.
Body found in a substation kiosk
Relatives tried to reconstruct the missing man's route and traced part of his path to Teatralnaya Square. A week later, the man's body was found in a transformer kiosk. Life.ru specifies the presumed version of events: the man, it appears, climbed into the kiosk to warm up and received a fatal electric shock. The final cause of death has not yet been stated.
What investigators are determining
Law enforcement will have to establish the circumstances of the death and find out how the man managed to enter the restricted technical facility. The key open question is why the energy infrastructure site was accessible to an outsider: that is exactly what investigators are checking, according to the reports.
Similar cases
Both outlets cite recent incidents involving electric shocks. Gazeta.Ru recalls a case in Rostov Region, where a two-year-old boy touched an outdoor air conditioning unit on the facade of a building and received an electric shock — the child could not be saved — as well as an incident in Vladivostok, where a couple were electrocuted while crossing railway tracks. Life.ru separately reported the death of a 42-year-old inmate at Correctional Colony No. 12 near Novosibirsk: he was found lifeless in the facility's production area, and according to the preliminary version, the accident occurred during work in a transformer kiosk, where the convict had presumably received an electric shock; the medics' resuscitation efforts did not help.
