A quarrel over a pet ended in a man's death
In Germany, a 38-year-old woman named Yulia has gone on trial, accused of murdering her 42-year-old partner Axel. According to the prosecutor, during an argument the man, who was heavily intoxicated, threatened to kill his girlfriend's guinea pig. This is reported by The Sun, which is cited by Gazeta.Ru.
The course of events according to the investigation
As the prosecutor described at the hearing, after the threat against the pet, the woman immediately attacked her partner. He managed to run out of the apartment and hide at a neighbor he knew, but Yulia caught up with him there as well. According to the prosecution, she took off her black leggings and strangled Axel with them, who was heavily drunk and could barely resist.
A second case: the death of a newborn
In addition to this episode, the woman will also face trial in another case. On December 18, 2024, she gave birth at home to a boy, whom she named Leon. The birth began six weeks early; the baby weighed 1,050 grams but was alive and breathing on his own. According to the investigation, after the birth Yulia placed her son on the sofa and did not call doctors; the boy lived for at least half an hour before dying. Later, she told a neighbor that the child had been born already dead.
