The key facts
- The Kaliningrad-assembled Ambertruck Work has vanished from sale — dealer warehouses are empty
- The model has been removed from the official Ambertruck website
- Avtotor has not officially confirmed the end of production, but a dealer says orders are no longer being accepted
The pickup has vanished from sale
The mid-size frame pickup Ambertruck Work, assembled in Kaliningrad, has disappeared from the Russian market: dealers have sold off all their stock, and no restyled or pre-restyling units remain in warehouses. This is reported by Avtopotok citing Gazeta.Ru. The model has also been removed from the official Ambertruck website.
No official decision, but production has effectively stopped
At the same time, Avtotor has not officially announced discontinuing the model. However, according to one of the company's dealers quoted by Avtopotok, orders for the pickups are no longer being accepted because their production has been halted 'for good'. Thus, there is no formal statement, but in practice the vehicle is unavailable both at dealers and on the brand's website.
What the model was like
The Ambertruck Work was equipped with a 2.5-liter turbo diesel producing 128 hp and 310 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It had a rigidly engaged all-wheel drive with a low-range gear and a rear differential lock. The vehicle was 5,345 mm long, with a 3,085 mm wheelbase, 200 mm ground clearance, and a payload of about 872 kg. For buyers who had their eye on this frame pickup, the choice is now narrowing: sources contain no confirmed plans to resume production. Recall that earlier it was reported that assembly of the Tank 500 SUV had begun at Avtotor.
