A random route ended with a family being saved

In the US state of Georgia, a driver named Casey saved a family from a burning house after his navigation system led him astray. This was reported by Gazeta.Ru, citing Good News Network: the navigator malfunctioned and directed the man along a road he had never traveled before. It was there that he noticed thick smoke and flames above a residential house, stopped, and rushed to help.

All 14 people managed to get out

The burning building was home to the family of James and Larita Burke, who are raising 11 children, including adopted ones, as well as a grandchild. That evening, James had fallen asleep in his armchair and woke up only when a stranger burst into the living room shouting that the house was on fire and they needed to get out immediately. Casey, together with James and his son, woke the children and led them out of the building — as a result, all 14 family members made it outside. The fire almost completely destroyed the house and two cars.

What's next for the family

Casey himself considers it an incredible coincidence that the navigation failure led him to exactly the place where help was needed. The Burke family is currently looking for temporary housing and plans to rebuild the house destroyed by the fire. The publications do not report the cause of the fire or the condition of those affected — according to available information, casualties were avoided.
