The singer's reaction
Honored Artist of Russia Yaroslav Dronov, performing under the stage name Shaman, commented on his inclusion in the database of the anti-Russian portal War and sanctions, which is run by the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of Ukraine's Ministry of Defense. In his Telegram channel he wrote: This was reported by Gazeta.Ru.
What is stated in the database
In the GUR database, Shaman is described as
The canceled concert in Belgorod
Last year Shaman's concerts in Belgorod were canceled due to information about an impending missile strike on the House of Culture where he was supposed to perform. According to the singer's wife and head of the League for Safe Internet Ekaterina Mizulina, the Armed Forces of Ukraine planned to strike the venue at the moment the Russian anthem was being performed on stage; the musician himself and his wife learned of this when they were already in Belgorod.
Context
Earlier, in October, Shaman had already publicly responded to rumors of a breakup with Mizulina. Inclusion in the GUR database is not in itself a legal sanctions decision: the War and sanctions portal is run by Ukraine's GUR as an information resource with lists of individuals and organizations that Kyiv considers connected to the Russian side.
