Five bids to buy the complex

Five investors have submitted bids to purchase the aircraft fueling complex located in Tashkent's Sergeli district at 33a Kumarik Street. This was reported by the State Asset Management Agency. The sale process for the facility began in September 2026, and Ernst & Young was engaged as the privatization consultant, Kun.uz reports.

How the selection is proceeding

According to the agency, at the initial stage the consultant carried out marketing and promotion of the facility, including sending investment teasers to potential investors. By the established deadline — October 23, 2026 — Ernst & Young had received five expressions of interest. The consultant will now screen the applicants against pre-defined criteria: sufficiency of financial capacity, compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing legislation, and absence from the sanctions lists of the European Union, the United States and international financial institutions. Applicants who fully meet these criteria will be admitted to the next stage of privatization — the submission of binding offers.

Context: growing airport traffic

The sale of the complex is taking place against the backdrop of growing traffic: according to Uzbekistan Airports, in January–September 2026 the capital's airport served 8.5 million passengers and 62.5 thousand flights — passenger flow rose by 16% and the number of flights by 7% compared with the previous year. It was also previously reported that Uzbekistan has scaled up imports of aviation kerosene from Georgia, Iraq and other countries.
