Power restored, utility work in the final stage

Electricity supply in the Kstovo district of Nizhny Novgorod Region has been fully restored after the drone attack that hit the district on Sunday. This was reported by Nizhny Novgorod Mayor Yuri Shalabaev on his Telegram channel. According to him, the remaining work is in its final stage: in some apartment buildings in Kstovo, heating and hot water parameters are still being brought back to normal. The work is planned to be completed by the end of Sunday, November 1, and Shalabaev expects Kstovo to start the new working week in normal mode.

What preceded the restoration

The need to restore utility systems arose after the UAV attack. Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin reported significant damage to an industrial enterprise in the Kstovo district as a result of a massive attack. As Life.ru wrote on the morning of November 1, authorities warned of possible temporary power outages in certain sections of utility networks during repairs — that is, the supply restoration proceeded in stages, and the full resumption of electricity supply marked a change from the morning situation. The outlet's report also mentions that the Investigative Committee opened a terrorism case after the UAV attack on Nizhny Novgorod Region.
