Six districts of Kyiv left without water

In Kyiv, large-scale water supply disruptions have begun after damage to a critical infrastructure facility. The left-bank part of the city, as well as the Holosiivskyi, Pecherskyi and Solomianskyi districts, were left without water — this was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on his Telegram channel, as reported by Life.ru.

Cause and progress of restoration work

According to the mayor, the cause of the utility problems was damage to infrastructure, which disrupted the power supply to pumping and other equipment. Specialists have already begun restoration work. Water supply was restored in the Obolonskyi district, while in the Sviatoshynskyi, Podilskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts water is being supplied at reduced pressure.

Connection with power outages

Earlier, the same outlet reported, citing its own article, that after explosions in Kyiv, power outages began due to damage to energy equipment. During the day, air raid alerts were declared repeatedly in the Ukrainian capital, and local sources, according to the outlet, spoke of problems in the operation of the power grid. Thus, the water and electricity outages, according to reports from Life.ru and the city's mayor, are linked to damage to the energy and water supply infrastructure: without electricity, water supply equipment cannot operate normally.
