The key facts
- Madina Osman proposed RF lifting (Morpheus 8 or Scarlet), a course of 2–3 procedures at intervals of about a month and a half
- For skin quality — injectable collagen therapy: three procedures at two-week intervals
- Botulinum therapy of the “living face” in small doses with preserved facial expression; all assessments are based on photographs, without an examination
Three proposed directions
Plastic surgeon and dermatologist-cosmetologist Madina Osman, in a conversation with Life.ru, assessed the appearance of ballerina Anastasia Volochkova and named three procedures that, in her opinion, could improve the condition of the skin. According to her visual assessment, the artist's appearance may show signs of deformation-type aging — she drew attention to the contours of the lower part of the face and the cheekbone area. In such cases, hyaluronic acid injections, in the surgeon's opinion, are not always suitable, since they can increase puffiness: “What is needed here is heavy hardware artillery capable of shrinking the skin flap across its entire thickness.”
RF lifting and collagen therapy
As the first step, Osman proposed microneedle radiofrequency lifting using devices of the Morpheus 8 or Scarlet class: thin needle-electrodes are inserted into the skin and transmit radiofrequency energy, heating the tissues, which is used to stimulate collagen production. According to the specialist, the technique can increase skin density, reduce sagging in the cheek and chin area, and make the facial contours more defined; she also allows for an effect on the subcutaneous tissues in the cheekbone area. The recommended course is two to three procedures at intervals of about a month and a half, while the depth of exposure, the number of sessions, and recovery must be determined individually. To improve skin quality — in the surgeon's visual assessment, dryness, a dull tone, and wrinkles are possible — she proposed injectable collagen therapy: a course of three procedures at two-week intervals. Osman noted that in some cases this option is preferable to classic biorevitalization, which can increase puffiness in predisposed patients. She suggested that skin irritation could be linked to heavy stage makeup, but emphasized that establishing such a cause is impossible without an examination.
Botulinum therapy and the specialist's caveats
The third direction is botulinum therapy using the “living face” technique: small doses of botulinum toxin applied to individual muscle groups of the face and neck in order to soften forehead and frown lines, reduce muscle tension at the corners of the mouth, and work on the muscles of the lower jaw and the platysma. The goal of the approach is to reduce expression wrinkles while preserving facial mobility, which, according to Osman, is especially important for an artist. She described the desired result as follows: “The face looks rested, rejuvenated, and fresh, as if after a long vacation, while fully retaining its individuality and rich acting expressiveness under any spotlights.” All recommendations are based on photographs and are of a presumptive nature: the need for treatment and the result depend on the individual characteristics of the patient. The Life.ru publication itself belongs to the outlet's section of personal opinions and assessments.
