The key facts
- The sales office changed its sign from «Imarat» to «Imtiyoz», while the homes promised for 2025 have still not been delivered
- Homebuyers report an internal conflict between the founders and the removal of Marat Hamdamov from projects ranging from Sergeli City to Bristol City
- One buyer claims the company terminated his contract and resold the apartment to another buyer despite three years of payments
A sign change instead of handing over homes
The company that promised to build housing under the name «Imarat Development» has once again found itself at the center of a conflict with buyers. According to Kun.uz, the «Imarat» sign in the sales office has already been replaced with «Imtiyoz», and the homes whose handover was promised for 2025 are still not ready. Homebuyers, already squeezed by circumstances due to the untimely delivery of apartments, took the dispute between the company's founders as «one trouble added to another».
What buyers say
The outlet cites appeals from several clients. Shohista Rizayeva reported that a conflict has arisen within the company, housing delivery deadlines keep being extended, and she no longer trusts the builders, demanding a refund of the money she paid. Dilorom Yutayeva signed a contract personally with Marat Hamdamov on January 6, 2024, and has so far paid 400 million soums; the apartment was supposed to be handed over by October 30, 2025, but this did not happen. Jahongir Muhiddinov, who fully paid for apartments that were supposed to be delivered in December 2025, could not get clear information from company representatives about the progress of construction; the promised compensation for the delay, according to him, is significantly less than the amount specified in the contract.
A terminated contract and a resold apartment
The most acute situation is described in the words of Dilnoza Tuychiyeva: she signed a housing purchase contract on February 3, 2024, decided to terminate the contract and get her money back due to the prolonged construction, but, trusting the promises of company representatives, kept waiting. In the end, according to her, the company itself terminated the contract and sold the apartment she had been paying for over three years to another buyer.
The fate of the projects and what remains unclear
According to clients, Marat Hamdamov, who persuaded buyers with promises and concluded deals, has been removed from the projects — from Sergeli City to Bristol City. Kun.uz notes that the projects attracted buyers with low prices and convenient payment terms, which is why hundreds of people put in money, but the obligations are not being fulfilled. The outlet examined this latest conflict around the new development in order to clarify the situation; no official position of the company or its founders is given in the publication, so the details of the internal dispute between the founders and the prospects for refunding homebuyers' money remain unknown.
