The key facts
- From November 1 — scheduled quarterly recalculation of supplements for flight crews and miners
- Pensions for November 4 will be transferred early on November 3 due to National Unity Day
- The SFR budget for 2027 passed its first reading: insurance pension indexation in two stages — 6.8% from February 1 and 3.3% from April 1
Early payments and scheduled recalculation from November 1
From November 1, a scheduled quarterly recalculation of pension supplements begins in Russia for former flight crew members and miners, reports Life.ru. In addition, the schedule for transferring social payments is shifting due to a holiday: November 4 marks National Unity Day, and those who normally receive their pension on November 4 will have the money transferred early — on November 3.
Who is affected by the early payment
As explained by the Social Fund of Russia, the pre-holiday payment will affect those who receive money through a bank: the early November pension will arrive on cards on November 3. In some regions, post offices may also deliver payments earlier than the usual schedule. From November 5, pension delivery through banks will return to the standard schedule. The early procedure covers all types of pensions — insurance (old-age and disability), social, and funded; other SFR payments that arrive together with the pension will also be transferred in advance.
What is included in the SFR budget for 2027
This week, the State Duma passed the first reading of the Social Fund of Russia budget for 2027, which provides for pension increases, benefits, and the expansion of certain social support measures. The key change is a transition to a two-stage indexation of insurance pensions: from February 1, an increase of 6.8%, and from April 1, another 3.3%. From April 1, social pensions will also be indexed by 6.8%. These figures are cited by lawyer Elena Kuznetsova, whom the publication references. In addition, from February 1, monthly cash payments and compensations for federal benefit recipients, including veterans, people with disabilities, and Chernobyl victims, will increase by 6.8%. Note that the budget has so far been passed only in the first reading, meaning the parameters included in it are plans, not decisions that have already taken effect.
