The key facts
- Style Sketch builds a virtual closet from Instagram photos or manual uploads and offers outfits with virtual try-ons

- It is part of a recent series of Meta AI apps: Waddle World, Pocket, and Vibes
What Style Sketch can do
Meta has quietly released an AI fashion app called Style Sketch without an official announcement, TechCrunch reports. It helps users put together outfits from clothes they already own: the app connects to Instagram and builds a virtual wardrobe from published photos, while missing items can be added manually — via a snapshot, a short video, or by uploading images from the gallery. The app was first spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra.
Features and availability
According to its app store listing, Style Sketch suggests outfit combinations based on the user's style and lets them virtually try on looks on a realistic model matched to body type and skin tone. Users can pick a specific item and get outfit ideas built around it, and before a trip they can enter the destination, duration, and planned activities to receive a day-by-day wardrobe plan that takes the weather forecast into account. Navarra also mentions weather-based outfit collections and a Facebook connection. The app is available on iOS and Android in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand; Meta did not respond to a TechCrunch inquiry, and it is unknown whether the company plans a wider rollout.
Competitors and context
The market is no longer empty: similar features are offered, for example, by the startup Alta, while Google Photos can turn clothing photos into a digital wardrobe. TechCrunch notes that Meta will likely bet not on the novelty of the idea but on its integration with Instagram, where users already have a visual history of their style. Style Sketch is one of several recent Meta AI apps: previously released were the Tamagotchi-like Waddle World, the game creation tool Pocket , and the AI video generator Vibes. According to The Wall Street Journal, Mark Zuckerberg told employees that the company plans to release noticeably more apps than before, since AI has accelerated development.
