Detention of the former director of the road company

In Rostov-on-Don, the former head of the road company Rostovavtodor has been detained on suspicion of a series of corruption crimes. The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Rostov Region reported the opening of criminal cases without naming the suspect or the organization; the name of the detainee — Stanislav Degtyaryov — was cited by a TASS source in law enforcement agencies, as Life.ru recounts.

What the suspect is accused of

According to the investigation, in 2024 and 2025 the head entered false information about profits for previous years into the accounting reports, despite knowing that the company was running losses. The reports were sent to the tax service and the relevant regional ministries, and based on the 2023 report, the Investigative Committee asserts, the suspect was unlawfully paid more than 1.4 million rubles.

Payments to a football club while the company was in debt

The second episode concerns contracts for advertising services with a football club whose name is not disclosed. According to the investigation, from August 2023 to March 2024 the director transferred 12 million rubles under these contracts, knowing that the company's accounts payable exceeded 245 million rubles. The Investigative Committee believes these funds should have been used to pay off the debts.

Charges and procedural measures

The suspect is accused of fraud on an especially large scale, two episodes of official forgery, and abuse of official powers. The cases were opened on the basis of materials from the regional directorates of the FSB and the MVD. Searches were conducted at the suspect's home and workplace; a motion to impose a measure of restraint has been submitted to the court, and investigators are establishing the circumstances of the alleged crimes.

The detainee's career path

Degtyaryov took the helm of Rostovavtodor in 2023 and served as director general until June 11, 2025. Before that, he worked at the Ministry of Transport of Rostov Region, including as head of the control, audit and auditing work department.
