Newsmax observers are heading to Alyoshky
The First Lady of the United States Melania Trump announced on her X page, that four journalists from the American TV channel Newsmax will travel to Alyoshky in the Kherson region to cover a humanitarian operation. According to her, the reporters will work as neutral observers, independently film and document what is happening together with representatives of Russian and Ukrainian humanitarian groups. Their task is to record the course of the mission, including aid to local residents and the organization of evacuation.
Mission conditions and the silence regime
The operation became possible thanks to agreements on a temporary ceasefire in the Alyoshky area, in the coordination of which Melania Trump took part, acting as a mediator between the Russian and Ukrainian sides. The silence regime came into effect on October 27 and was subsequently extended beyond the city limits to allow humanitarian convoys to move safely; the ceasefire is expected to last until November 1.
What the mission includes
The mission provides for the delivery of food, drinking water, medicines and essential items, as well as the voluntary evacuation of residents who wish to leave the city. Roads are being demined to allow convoys to pass safely — Life.ru previously reported this, citing the Human Rights Commissioner in Russia Tatyana Moskalkova, who noted that the ceasefire regime is being observed by both sides.
