Who is eligible for the subsidy
Starting November 1, a subsidy will be provided to certain greenhouses in Uzbekistan. According to Kun.uz, citing the «Huquqiy axborot» channel, the support applies to greenhouses that are covered with a special heat-saving material — the so-called «kyorpa» — and/or use energy-efficient «green» heating systems.
Which heating systems are included in the list
The «green» heating systems that qualify for the subsidy include: heat pumps, geothermal heating systems, solar thermal systems, as well as highly efficient electricity-based heating systems.
What the support is aimed at
The subsidy applies to electricity costs incurred from October to March — that is, during the coldest months, when greenhouse heating expenses are at their highest. Thus, the measure is aimed at reducing energy consumption by greenhouse farms specifically during the heating season.
