Context
Power outages were also recorded this week in other regions. On October 24, the press service of Russia's Ministry of Energy reported a partial power outage in Crimea, the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, and the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions — according to the ministry, the cause was external impact on energy infrastructure facilities. On the same day, four populated localities of the Predgorny district of Stavropol Krai were left without electricity: the head of the district, Nikolai Bondarenko, saidthat the emergency outage caused by damage to an overhead power line affected 1,208 subscribers — 3,624 people. Earlier, a mass power outage was also reported in Zabaykalsky Krai. Unlike these cases, in Krasnoyarsk Krai the cause was named as bad weather, and the scale is so far being assessed by the number of populated localities, without data on subscribers.
