Distribution by country

By a wide margin, first place goes to Afghanistan — 323,660 people. This is more than 90% of the total number of arrivals for trade purposes. They are followed by Turkmenistan (24,196 people) and Tajikistan (6,412 people). What the figures show

The statistics committee's data was published on the agency's official channel, meaning it is based on a primary source. The scale of the gap stands out: the difference between Afghanistan and the next countries, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan, exceeds 300 thousand people, which points to the predominantly cross-border nature of trade trips. The publication does not disclose the accounting methodology or the period covered by the figures — only a comparison with the corresponding period of last year is indicated.
