What changes on November 1
Starting November 1, several changes to national legislation take effect in Uzbekistan, affecting customs payments, pension provision, liquefied gas supplies, police operations, advertising, and payments for energy resources. An overview of the changes was prepared by the norma.uz portal, which is cited by UzNews.uz.
Pensions, customs, and gas
The customs fee rate for customs clearance of international courier shipments is being reduced by 20% — this directly affects those who regularly receive parcels from abroad. The service of assigning an old-age pension two years earlier than the generally established age to certain individuals will be provided proactively, that is, without a separate application. Services for persons employed in hazardous work and work under difficult conditions, as well as those entitled to a pension with a reduction of the generally established age, will become available through the Center for Public Services or the Unified Portal of Interactive Government Services. Supplies of liquefied gas to the population by LPG-Trade LLC will switch to exchange mechanisms, and gas for social sector facilities will be supplied at exchange prices formed on the basis of market principles.
Police, advertising, and advance payments for resources
Patrol and security service units of internal affairs bodies, upon reports of crimes received through the '112' system, will arrive at the scene not only in public places but also in residential buildings. Persons who violate public order at mass events will be restricted from entering upcoming events. In the field of advertising: sending advertising SMS will only be possible after the subscriber's written or electronic consent, and advertising calls and notifications via mobile communication are prohibited from 18:00 to 09:00; operators are required, at the subscriber's request, to fully or partially block such calls and notifications. For business entities connected to automated metering systems for electricity and natural gas, the advance payment amount for monthly consumption is set at 15%. In addition, organizations, including non-state archives, will have to submit information about the documents they hold to state archives through the archive information system.
