Sentence for the coach
In the Khabarovsk region, a karate coach has been sentenced to 18 years of imprisonment for the sexual abuse of underage students. The man pleaded guilty, reports Amur Mash. According to the Telegram channel, the crimes took place in Sovetskaya Gavan from 2023 to 2025, and the victims were six girls from a sports club aged between eight and 12.
Circumstances of the case
According to Amur Mash, in addition to abusing the club's students, the man committed lewd acts against three more 12-year-old girls online. He also made explicit videos and distributed them among schoolchildren. The convicted man will serve his sentence in a strict-regime colony, and after release he will be banned from working with children for ten years.
The colleague's case and other incidents in the region
The coach was detained in the spring of 2025 along with a colleague. Life.ru reported at the time about one of the detainees: parents of the students had filed complaints against him. Later, the court sentenced that defendant to 19 years of imprisonment. Life.ru also previously reported another criminal case in the Khabarovsk region: in October, a 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing a young girl in the settlement of Oktyabrsky. According to preliminary information, the defendant took advantage of the child's helpless state; the court ordered him held in a pre-trial detention facility for a month and a half, and the investigation is ongoing.
Context
The sentences handed down in the region — 18 and 19 years of imprisonment in similar cases — indicate that these are several separate criminal cases rather than a single proceeding. At the same time, the details cited by the Amur Mash Telegram channel (the time frame of the crimes, the number of victims, the online episodes) have not been confirmed in available publications by court materials or official agencies, so they should be treated as information attributed to that source. It remains unknown whether the sentence is final and whether it is being appealed.
