Strike on Luhansk and damage to a telephone company building

On the night of October 21, the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a massive strike on the Luhansk People's Republic, the head of the region Leonid Pasechnik reported. The center of Luhansk came under attack: the building of the Luhansk Telephone Company, according to him, was seriously damaged. At the time of the raid, a duty shift of specialists was inside the building; some of them managed to get out, however, according to preliminary data, people may be under the rubble. Specialized services are working at the scene.

Strikes on other areas and casualty figures

According to Pasechnik, strikes also hit residential buildings, trucks, and civilian and municipal infrastructure in Krasny Luch, Lysychansk, Pervomaisk, as well as in the Starobelsk, Perevalsk, and Novopskov municipal districts. He stated that air defense systems and mobile fire groups shot down about 50 aerial targets over the territory of the republic. According to him, over the past day, as a result of Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks in the LNR, three people sustained injuries incompatible with life.
