Fox attacks rooster during festival
The incident took place on Sunday, October 18, at the VDNKh City Farm, where an autumn festival was held that day. According to farm representatives, the fox appeared from the direction of the neighboring Botanical Garden: it dug under and made its way to the domestic birds. The predator tried to carry off the rooster named Mazai and, according to an earlier report by Life.ru, even managed to grab the bird and attempt to escape with its prey. The moment was captured in photos: in one of the shots the fox is carrying the rooster across the exhibition grounds, covered with autumn leaves.
The bird was saved, the rooster is recovering
Farm staff noticed what was happening in time and came to the rooster's rescue — the abduction attempt failed. On October 20, the farm showed Mazai after the incident. According to the staff, the bird is fine, although after the encounter with the predator it is still a bit frightened. Mazai is now resting in the henhouse in the company of the hens and remains under the supervision of the complex's workers. According to the farm, there are no serious grounds for concern. The incident was treated with humor there, with the suggestion that the rooster is already sharing his impressions with the hens.
