Pakistan's 87-Run Victory

In a tri-nation ODI series match in Rawalpindi, Pakistan secured a convincing victory over England by 87 runs. All-rounder Arafat Minhas was the key figure of the match: he made his maiden half-century innings (59 off 58 balls) and delivered a career-best bowling performance, taking six wickets.

Pakistan's Innings: 302-9

Pakistan, sent in to bat first, posted 302-9 at the Pindi stadium. Hasan Nawaz scored 79 off 74 balls (four sixes and five boundaries) — his second ODI half-century. After Gus Atkinson dismissed Fakhar Zaman with the first ball of the match (caught by Joe Root), and Sonny Baker removed Saim Ayub (8) — 2-31, Babar Azam (34) and Saad Baig (35) steadied the innings. Salman Agha, who made a century in the winning match against Sri Lanka (37 runs), fell for 16. From 133-5, Nawaz and Minhas added 78 for the sixth wicket — England dropped three catches in the process. Minhas then added 72 for the seventh wicket with Fahim Ashraf (39), allowing Pakistan to add 91 runs in the final 10 overs. Minhas hit nine boundaries, Ashraf — one six and five boundaries. Baker took 3-65, Atkinson — 2-35.

England's Collapse in the Chase

England, after a confident start (120-1 thanks to Tom Banton — 57 off 53 balls, five boundaries and two sixes — and Ben Duckett — 45), lost their last nine wickets for 95 runs and were bowled out for 215 in 38.4 overs. Minhas took three key wickets: Banton (misjudged pull), Harry Brook (5, sharp turn) and Jordan Cox (18). He completed his second five-wicket haul by dismissing Will Jacks (19) and Jamie Overton (1), and also ran out England's last batsman. Naseem Shah took the important wicket of Joe Root (33), while Haris Rauf removed the dangerous Sam Curran (27).
