Court rejected the ex-official

The former deputy head of the Blagovar district of Bashkortostan failed to challenge the prosecutor's representation after which he was dismissed due to loss of trust. The Blagovar inter-district court refused to satisfy the claim, the united press service of the republic's courts reported.

The reason was violations of anti-corruption legislation

The prosecutor's office revealed a conflict of interest related to the official's relatives' business. In addition, when applying for the job, he concealed information about the income of one of his family members and information about military service.

The court's position

After the dismissal, the ex-official tried to have the prosecutor's representation declared unlawful, but the court confirmed that the oversight body acted within its powers. The judges emphasized that the prosecutor's representation by itself does not obligate the employer to dismiss an employee: the final decision on disciplinary punishment is made by the management, so the document does not violate the plaintiff's rights.
