Report: Up to 12,000 North Korean workers at Russian drone plant in Yelabuga subjected to 'gross human rights violations'
A joint report by CSIS and the George H.W. Bush Institute released on October 14 claims that up to 12,000 North Korean workers at a plant in Yelabuga (Tatarstan) are victims of human trafficking and forced labor: the DPRK retains up to 90% of their wages. The report describes the roles of Russia, China, Iran and the DPRK in expanding UAV production and calls on the US and the UN to take action.
