Winchester court: ex-councillor admits 48 offences against his wife, four men on trial
The trial continues at Winchester Crown Court in the case of Philip Young, a former Conservative councillor from Swindon, who has pleaded guilty to 48 sexual offences against his ex-wife, including rapes and covert filming. The court heard her police statements about an incident in February 2023 in which, she says, she noticed a stranger's hand and locked herself in the bathroom. Four men whom, the prosecution says, Young involved in the abuse deny the charges.
