Otabek Yusupov1976 Olympic champion David Rigert died on October 26 at the age of 79 after a long illness. His death was announced by the Russian Weightlifting Federation. Rigert was a six-time world champion, the author of 63 world records, and later worked as a coach for the Soviet and Russian national teams.
