North Sea offshore workers are massively using weight-loss drugs ahead of the introduction of a weight limit on helicopter flights
From Sunday, passengers on helicopters to offshore platforms covered by UK safety rules must not weigh more than 124 kg in civilian clothes. According to Offshore Energies UK, the number of workers over the limit has fallen from about 2,200 to fewer than 250, with many using weight-loss injections. The RMT union criticises the change.
