Israel begins counting more than 500,000
After the counting of regular ballots, Netanyahu's bloc has 53 mandates, the opposition 48, and the Arab parties 19, with no bloc reaching the majority of 61 mandates. The fate of the seat distribution may be decided by more than 500,000 absentee ballots, whose counting began overnight into Thursday and is expected to be completed by evening.
