Microsoft offered about 60,000 employees voluntary departure with severance
The company launched a Voluntary Exit Offer program for employees in the US, Canada, India, and the UK. According to media reports, the offer could cover up to 60,000 people — about a quarter of the workforce. This is Microsoft's second such initiative this year.
