'Trevozhnik' and 'vibecoding' on the 'Word of the Year — 2026' shortlist: what a sociologist says
The shortlist of the 'Word of the Year — 2026' competition brings together ten words, five of which are related to AI and technology. Sociologist Valeria Kasamara linked the juxtaposition of 'trevozhnik' and 'vibecoding' with schoolchildren survey data: 44% worry about the future, 78% use neural networks. The winner will be chosen by more than 400 linguists in early December.
