From 2027, water debtors will be restricted from paying for electricity
From January 1, 2027, Uzbekistan will introduce a new procedure for recovering debts for drinking water and sewerage: after a warning, notarial or judicial recovery, and enforcement proceedings, a non-payer may be restricted from paying for electricity. The procedure does not apply to families in the Social Register.
