Pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil turns to US Supreme Court over detention case
Pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil has asked the US Supreme Court to review an appellate ruling that stripped district courts of the ability to consider his lawsuit over his detention and deportation proceedings. He spent 104 days in custody and was released by order of a federal judge in June 2025, a decision that was later overturned.
