Coroner finds 'defective' training and faulty alarm contributed to officer's death on Salisbury Plain
The Wiltshire and Swindon Coroner's Court has concluded its investigation into the death of 26-year-old Second Lieutenant Max George, fatally injured by a Warrior armoured vehicle during an exercise on 21 June 2022. The verdict: defective training of the commander and an alarm system unrepaired since 2018 contributed to the tragedy. The Ministry of Defence promised to respond and reported safety measures already taken.
