EU switches clocks to winter time on the night of October 25, 2026, even though the abolition of the clock change was agreed back in 2019
On the night of October 24–25, 2026, most EU countries will move their clocks back from 3:00 to 2:00 — the switch to 'winter' time. The abolition of the seasonal clock change, supported in 2018 by 84% of participants in a Europe-wide survey and approved by the European Parliament in 2019 (410 votes to 192), has still not been implemented: member states have not agreed on which time should be made permanent. In the USA the change will take place only on November 1; Russia has not changed its clocks since 2014.
