US indices close mixed: tech sector gives up morning gains
On the first trading day of November, the US market closed mixed: the Nasdaq and S&P 500 lost their morning gains in a selloff of technology stocks, while the Dow Jones rose. Individual companies fell on news of AI infrastructure deals, even as most stocks on the market rose.
