President Orders Support for Sulton Tex Group: From Court Disputes to New Investments of $87 Million

On October 21, Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Sulton Tex Group factory in the Kashkadarya SEZ and instructed the National Bank to work out financing for the expansion of the textile cluster, which employs about 8,000 people. The company plans to increase the number of jobs to 30,000 and exports to $150 million. New projects worth $87 million were also presented, along with the history of the company's court conflict with the authorities.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a meeting in Kashkadarya region, conferred titles and announced gifts to reading families

On October 22, the President of Uzbekistan held a meeting on the socio-economic development of Kashkadarya region. Sulton Tex Group cluster head Nurbek Ergashev received the title 'Honored Entrepreneur of Uzbekistan', and Abdumannon Khudoyberdiyev — 'Honored Agricultural Worker'. The winners of the 'Young Reading Family' contest are promised two-room apartments in Tashkent. Mirziyoyev stated the goal of making the region free of poverty and unemployment by the end of the year.
