President visited a textile cluster in Kashkadarya

During a working trip to Kashkadarya region, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Sulton Tex Group cluster's factory in the Kashkadarya free economic zone, the presidential press service reported. The head of state inspected the technological process and the enterprise's product exhibition.

New complex worth $54 million

The textile cluster invested $54 million in a new fabric production and dyeing complex. The production lines can jointly produce up to 20,000 tonnes of products annually and provided employment for 840 people.

Resource-saving technologies

The factory operates a closed-loop water circulation system worth $3 million: it allows purifying and reusing more than 95% of the water used in production, saving 1.1 million cubic meters per year. To ensure uninterrupted power supply, a gas generator has been installed, and solar photovoltaic panels with a total capacity of 3.5 MW are placed on the roofs and walls. According to the press service, this will reduce costs for electricity, hot water and steam and lower production costs.

President's assessment and the cluster's plans

Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the resource-saving technologies implemented at the enterprise should serve as an example for other companies in the textile industry. “Thanks to our new generation of entrepreneurs, we are now reaching an entirely new level. They are not only creating value chains but also demonstrating care for the environment by introducing green technologies,” the president noted.

Further investments

Sulton Tex Group plans to implement another major project worth $70 million in the Kashkadarya SEZ, which will create 3,570 jobs. In addition, the cluster will launch projects in other districts of the region worth $17 million, employing another 1,220 people.
