European Commission recognises Spain, Italy, Greece and Cyprus as being under migratory pressure
The European Commission has identified four countries that will receive assistance under the solidarity mechanism in 2027: relocation of asylum seekers or financial contributions from the other EU members. Hungary and Slovakia, which failed to make pledges for 2026, will avoid infringement procedures for now.
