Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that fraudsters on dating sites win the interlocutor's trust and then ask them to follow a link and enter an SMS code — this is how they gain access to the account. After the hack, the victim is subjected to psychological pressure and demands for money. The main red flag is a sharp shift from correspondence to topics of finance and confirmation codes.
