In Rio de Janeiro, 55 graduates of the Santa Claus School received diplomas at the Christ the Redeemer statue
The Santa Claus School of Brazil (Escola de Papai Noel do Brasil) held a graduation ceremony at the Christ the Redeemer statue. The free month-long course for men aged 50 and older with gray beards has existed since 1993 and has trained more than 1,000 Santas and about 300 'Noelets' — the female counterpart.
