Sixth round of international consultations on Sudan opens in Geneva without Sudanese parties
Switzerland and the UN are holding the sixth round of consultations on Sudan in Geneva with 22 countries and five organizations. The mechanism is intended for coordinating mediators, not direct talks: Sudanese representatives are not invited. The conflict between SAF and RSF has lasted since April 2023, claimed tens of thousands of lives and displaced around 13 million people.
