Thousands of Lula's supporters take to the streets of São Paulo after election victory
Lula da Silva won the second round of Brazil's presidential election with 51.8% of the vote against 48.2% for Senator Flávio Bolsonaro — a margin of about 4.4 million votes. Mass celebrations took place on Paulista Avenue, but the loser refused to accept the result and announced his intention to seek its annulment.
