Moldova did not renew the environmental permit of the Rybnitsa plant, restricting its exports and imports
The environmental permit of the Moldova Metallurgical Plant in Rybnitsa expired on October 20, 2026, and Chisinau did not renew it. The Customs Service confirmed it will not process operations requiring the expired document. Production may continue using existing raw material stocks, and obtaining a new integrated permit, according to authorities' estimates, will take at least three to four months.
