Belgian PM De Wever prepares to offer the King his resignation over failed budget talks
On 2 November, Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever, after overnight budget talks that ended without an agreement, is to meet King Philippe and, according to media reports, offer the government's resignation. At the heart of the dispute is a plan to cut the deficit by €10 billion by 2029.
