UNIFIL continues operations in Lebanon as UN Security Council weighs options after mandate ends
The UN mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said it continues operations in support of peace and stability while the UN Security Council considers options for the period after 31 December 2026, when the mission's mandate expires.
